Thanks to a grant from Festival of Trees earlier this year, new updated CPR resources were purchased and utilized in the CPR/First aid class on site. Four new sets of adult and infant manikins along with 4 new practice AEDs allowed staff to be trained with the up to date tools. The new AEDs offered paddles for both adult and pediatric victims. The infant manikins are equipped with a sensor to show if the compressions and breaths are effective. Suzette Roseborough, Vocational Coordinator for DWI and a Red Cross Training Instructor was thrilled to have the new tools for the class.
All of DWI's LIFE program staff are First Aid and CPR Trained and Certified.
